Virtus
Filmed in high-alpine terrain around the Matterhorn, Virtus follows Ed Jackson as he takes on one of the Alps’ most recognisable mountains. The production combined technical mountain logistics, exposed-location filming, interviews and stills, with safety and storytelling working as one. The film balances the scale of the landscape with the human experience of the climb.
Virtus documents Ed Jackson's ascent of one of the world's most iconic and demanding peaks. Set against an unforgiving landscape of rock, ice and rapidly changing mountain conditions, the production required careful planning, experienced expedition logistics and a highly adaptable approach to filmmaking. Every stage of the project was designed to balance the technical demands of working in extreme terrain with the need to capture an authentic story.
Burnt Orange delivered a complete visual production to create a cohesive body of work that reflects both the physical challenge and the personal significance of the expedition. Rather than simply documenting the climb, the film explores the determination, resilience and perspective that define the journey, placing the human experience at the heart of an epic landscape.
